Duarte and the daughter of the late Charles H. and Aldea (Jacob) Spink. She was employed as a threader for Seekonk Lace for 20 years until her retirement in 1991. She was also employed as a driver for the RI School for the Deaf. From 1991 to 2001 she resided in Florida. She was a member and past president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 4305 of Winter Gardens, FL. Her sons Albert E. Duarte and his wife Geraldine Floody-Duarte of Providence, Joseph S. Duarte of Cumberland, and Charles H. Duarte of Cumberland, her sister Ethel Marr of Amherst, Ohio, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren survive her. She was the mother of the late Phillip “Tom” Duarte and the sister of the late Charles W. and Norman C. Spink and Claire I. Gity. Her calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7 pm at Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln followed by a funeral service at 7 pm. Burial will be private.
